1. Always wear protective gloves.
2. Using your right or left hand move the Cap-Off Tool over the top of your selected battery cap.
3. Identify the grip points on the top of the battery cap and rotate the Cap-Off Tool to line up using the four bumped out areas of tools socket and place it on the battery cap.
4. Press straight down on the Cap-Off Tool until it reaches the base of the battery cap.
5. Turn the Cap-Off Tool counter clockwise a ¼ turn.
6. Lift the Cap-Off Tool straight up noting that the battery cap stays firmly in the Cap-Off socket.
7. Inspect the water level in the battery cell, add water as required without over filling.
8. With the battery cap firmly fixed to the Cap-Off socket insert the battery cap into the filling port of the battery cell.
9. Turn the Cap-Off Tool clockwise a ¼ turn.
10. Pull the Cap-Off Tool straight up to remove it from the battery cap.
11. Repeat the steps above for each battery cell.
